Why have Americans taken so long to get over their tiff with France over the Iraq war? Listening to some of the commentators there is talk of how Syria has finally fully repaired the relationship between the US and France after Britain decided to pull back.
It was a decade ago when France refused to get involved in Iraq and told the US it was a bad idea. Unfortunately they were right and yet the resentment of France not going along seemed to stay. Why be mad at your ally which told you it was a bad idea and was right?
Any ideas why ?
