We're already looking forward to Scarlett Johansson's performance as a Siri-like AI in Spike Jonze's Her, and now we're getting a look at the actress in another genre role. Under the Skin is the latest film from director Jonathan Glazer (Birth, Sexy Beast), and features Johansson as an alien life form that travels through Scotland to seduce random men — and then kill them. It's based on Michel Faber's novel , and judging from this first glimpse Glazer has constructed a surreal, almost nightmarish film, landing somewhere between David Lynch and David Cronenberg. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film was met with a decidedly negative reaction at the Telluride Film Festival, but that's not putting us off from wanting to see it just yet. There's no release date for Under the Skin in place, but to get a sense of what's to come check out the mildly NSFW trailer below.
