How scary (disturbing) is American Horror Story?
Quick question here, as the title asks: how disturbing are the images and the horror in both seasons (so far) of the critically acclaimed American Horror Story?
I generally steer clear of horror, because I tend to retain imagery in my head for a while, and it took me a while to start sleeping in a room alone with the lights off (don't laugh). However, I'm usually drawn to TV shows that are well received critically, and reviews I keep hearing of the show, and Jessica Lange's performance in particular, have me drawn to it. Plus, I'd like to start facing my fears, albeit bit by bit.
So, is it more gory than psychologically haunting? Thanks, guys!
