Let's talk about upcoming phones
So, let's have a discussion about the upcoming phones in the next few months.
I've currently got a Nexus 4, which I own outright. When I get a new phone, I'm not selling my Nexus - I bought it for £279, and since it's £199, I'd stand to lose quite a lot. So I'm keeping it, whatever happens.
Question is...what will my next phone be? (This isn't a 'what phone should I buy?' post. It's a 'let's discuss the upcoming and current devices' post.)
The Oppo N1 is looking *fantastic*, and it'll only get better because of the supposed Cyanogen integration. That is definitely a consideration. Also, no one I know will have an Oppo; it'll be largely unique. I'd like that. I'm expecting it to be expensive though, around £600.
The Nexus 5 is another contender, for obvious reasons. Not overly happy about LG, but I like my Nexus 4, and the Nexus 5 doesn't have a glass back, which was my main quibble with the Nexus 4.
I'm also looking at Moto's upcoming offerings. Don't want to import a Moto X, but I'm interested to see what they do for European devices.
Non-Android...there's the iPhone 5S (which is a consideration; Android has grown stale for me) or a Windows Phone, although I don't know what. There's also the option of putting Ubuntu Touch on my Nexus 4 and giving that a go. I'm also interested in Firefox OS - as I've said before, I only need a phone that does Twitter, the web, texts, calls (I occasionally call people). Everything else I can do on a tablet.
How about you?
