Windows Phone's response to Touch ID - Kinect?
Whats more secure and convenient? Touching and finger print access, or voice and vocal/optical recognition?
With Xbox One Kinect looking to be a very advanced in regards to voice commands, voice ID and recognizing whether you are looking at it or not. It seems like it would an extremely useful function implementing into Windows phones, tablets and PCs.
There are probably some issues with miniaturizing the next gen Kinect, particularly the camera, however this implementation may not emphasize the motion control and other game oriented elements. So perhaps this kind of implementation really isn't that far off.
Another problem might be unlocking your phone with voice in a public location, like a classroom or library. Touch ID would be a more reasonable solution in this scenario, and I am not sure how well Kinect is able to use facial or optical recognition at this point.
I wonder if MS has any plans like this in the pipe line.
