The 1020 CAN take fast, just do it photos
After watching todays verge mobile show it seems like the overwhelming idea is that the 1020 takes great photos but it is just a little too involved and a little too professional. I just want to say that if SPEED is your priority you can still use the stock camera application which is much faster and will still provide the amazing 5mp oversampled photos that the 1020 can offer. It seems like the fact that the 1020 can use different camera applications is being overlooked. Want to have amazing control of the photo that is professional grade? Use procam. Want a more simple setup that is just automatic and fast? Use the stock camera app. I know that this situation can be improved but I feel like it is being overlooked that the 1020 can be used for quicker and simpler photos if the user chooses. Once again it seems like the fact that choice is being offered is actually hurting the product. It almost seems like if Nokia didn't give the option to save a 41mp version of the photo in the procam app it would be better off (kind of like how once MS offered the kickstand on the Surface it was deemed more of as a negative for not being lapable vs. a positive of a tablet just having an extra feature.) Thoughts? Is the general sentiment don't give me the option and just tell me? Obviously in the ideal world the procam would be the fastest camera app ever but in this situation would it have just been better for Nokia to NOT offer the procam application so it would be considered the best and easiest camera phone to use as opposed to just the best ?
