After offering at least $200 for an iPad, Microsoft is now looking to buy iPhones for the same price or more. The company's latest promotion at its Microsoft Stores, which was previously rumored, will run until November 3rd and allow visitors to trade-in an iPhone 4S or iPhone 5 for a minimum of $200. Microsoft will supply a gift card that can be used in its brick-and-mortar stores to buy Windows Phones or other items.

The deal is obviously designed to push Windows Phones to customers upgrading their smartphones ahead of the holidays, but Microsoft has run a number of promotions for Windows Phones previously. This latest deal marks the first time it has offered to buy iPhones, alongside the similar iPad deal. There are a number of Windows Phones available now, but Nokia is expected to launch its 6-inch Lumia 1520 next month alongside another five devices. If Nokia releases its latest Windows Phones in late October or the first few days of November then this trade-in offer might just cover those too.
