Is KitKat one of the craziest bits of branding you've ever seen?

I have to say I just plain don't get it.

Aside from being completely confusing (I.e. aligning an OS with an actual, rather than just a slightly generic, food brand)...why would Google (don't be evil) want to associate itself with a company that has such a terrible reputation in the developing world and has been accused for years of complicity in early infant deaths.

Especially when Google is making a big play of pushing internet services into the developing world.

To reiterate, I just don't get it.
