5" Nexus smaller than current Nexus 4
Given how much I like the Nexus 4, and how much I wished it were just a tad smaller, I was disappointed (but not surprised) to see the next nexus will be a 5" device. From the leaked HQ photos it seemed unusually large, however, I think that could just be perspective. Brian Klug from Anandtech notes:
Display diagonal is also listed as 126.0mm which works out to 4.96-inches diagonal for display, enough to warrant a Nexus 5 name, and a length and width of 131.9 mm x 68.2 mm.
Given that the next Nexus will likely be packing:
Full LTE coverage, Pentaband DC-HSPA+, and Quadband GSM/EDGE
Improved Camera Sensor
AND still bring the benefits of a Nexus device - direct Google updates & a low off-contract price.
Even a wooden Moto X with a reduced price wouldn't sway me otherwise. I thought the oversized dimensions would be enough to dissuade me, however, if they've managed to cram in a 5" display into the same body size (Nexus 4: 133.9 x 68.7 x 9.1 mm) - I'm ok with that.
Fingers crossed for epic battery life! (update: while 2300 mAh isn't a big jump, hopefully 4.4 brings power optimizations)
