Samsung already announced that its new Galaxy Note 3 will arrive on all of America's major carriers soon, and today AT&T, T-Mobile, and now Verizon have confirmed the availability of the company's enormous new smartphone. AT&T and Verizon are both opening pre-orders today, pricing the handset at $299.99 with two-year contracts. AT&T says orders will begin shipping "around October 1st," while a Verizon rep said that shipping for its customers begins October 10, but didn't specify timing for in-store availability.
For now, Verizon is only offering the new Galaxy Gear smartwatch in three colors (black, orange or gray) as one half of a bundle package with the Note 3, for a total cost of $599.98. Meanwhile, the Note 3 will arrive on T-Mobile October 2nd, a day later than AT&T, starting at $199.99 with a two-year-long monthly payment plan of $21.
Gear will definitely be available October 2nd
Both AT&T and T-Mobile mention the Galaxy Gear in their press releases, but the exact release date of the new smartwatch isn't clear. T-Mobile says the Gear will be available alongside the Galaxy Note 3 on October 2nd at the previously announced price of $299.99. AT&T says the watch will be available in "the coming weeks," but doesn't give a firm date. Of course, the Galaxy Gear won't be tied to a contract, so there's nothing stopping you from dropping into any store that has the watch in stock and picking one up.
