Battery life on HTC One with stock Android?
I currently have a Moto X that I'm still in the return period for. While I like it a lot, there's some stuff in the build quality of the device that after a week I'm not so impressed with. I was thinking of trading it for the HTC One and then rooting it and putting stock Android 4.3 on it. My only concern is battery life - I've read some pretty bad reviews of the HTC One's battery life, even the Google Play edition. Is it really that bad? My X lasts me the whole day under "normal usage" (I don't really play many games on it, occasional web video, mostly reading websites, messaging, etc., and I work most of the day without it).
Can anyone provide some insight? It seems that perhaps the battery is affected by the higher pixel density on the One, so even running stock might not make it better. Or maybe it's not as bad as I've read.
Full disclosure: I am new to Android, coming from iOS (so if I've said something stupid, let me down gently).
