Am I the only one who thinks Apple will launch a Retina Macbook Air line alongside the new Haswell rMBP?
This would make sense so then they would have 4 Macbook lines in total hitting all possible price points:
Macbook Air (Non-Retina) as the base model
Macbook Air (Retina) as the more premium air model (and competitive with the new breed of high-DPI windows PCs)
Macbook Pro (Non-Retina) for those who still need the legacy dvd drive and stuff
Macbook Pro (Retina) the most premium model
Also, I will add that the rMBA, if a reality, would follow the same aspect ratio of the rMBP (and chromebook pixel), so it would be more "squared-off" which would allow it to be slightly larger - giving it room to fit in the necessary extra battery space to drive that nasty display for as long as at least 10-12 hours.
Also another thing I want to throw out is that I have a strong feeling the new rMBP 13" would come built-in with discrete graphics. With the power-management improvements that Haswell has brought, I don't think this is an impossible goal. It could be done in that smaller form factor (just look at the Razer Blade 14").
That would explain why apple didn't announce the rMBP and rMBA lines at WWDC. Big changes are coming! (fingers-crossed!)
