Notification Center implementation
Whilst we are waiting for a notification center to come in Windows Phone Blue. I thought it would be a good idea to have an alternative in place.
For me, the most annoying thing about my phone is that if it vibrates in my pocket, or on a table out of sight, I have to run to the phone or scramble to get the phone out of my pocket before the toast notification disappears (and if the tile isn't pinned on my home screen, or if the tile doesn't show the notification which happens on occasion, then the notification is lost forever)
So my suggestion is quite simple (though probably not that simple to implement...lol)
I suggest that notifications can have a setting to allow them to either behave like they do now, or disappear once they have been swiped away.
So, similar to how long you can determine the screen stays on for (1 min, 3 mins, 5 mins or 'always') a setting to determine how long toast notifications stay on your phone for before it disappears.
If the phone screen is off, the toast notification pops up, turns the phone screen on for a few seconds then the screen turns off. If you have selected 'Always' for the toast notification then when you turn your screen on again the notification is still there.
If more than one notification pops up then the oldest stays on top, where each swipe shows the next notification until they are all gone. But once swiped it is still gone for good, like the current model.
Does this make sense, or it is just me...lol
