What are some of the worst books you have ever read

I have to say the worst book I ever read would be Halo: The Flood by William C. Deitz. I picked it up at the library on a whim about 3 years ago. I hated it. Yeah it added a few more details and story lines here and there; but mostly it was just reading the game. It was literally Master Chief goes into the bunker to find the Silent Cartographer, kills a bunch of aliens and moves on. It was so boring for me. It was just awful, in my opinion a clear cash in if I ever read one.

In middle school I really did not like The Giver, I do not remember why. I think I hated the idea of their society. Yet its been so many years since I read it I can not remember what their society was.

In high school I did not like Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe. Seeing as that same year I got to read Into the Wild, Lord of the Files, Fahrenheit 451, and Hamlet, that book just rubbed me the wrong way. My 16 year old self thought the plot was too predictable. Local populace lives in peace for many years, things are going great! White man comes in and fucks shit up, people die, people are enslaved, local populace is upset when white colonists go back on their promises. Local populace revolts, Like I hadn't heard that one a million times Maybe I would like it if I read it today.

Now a good video game based book would be Bioshock: Rapture! I got it last year still haven't finished it. (My back log of unfinished books is much greater than my back log of unfinished video games sadly). Come to think of it I have a bunch of great classic novels I still have not finished. Well time to get off the internet and get reading!!!!!
