Dear TheVerge, can you please do an article about Sony's lemon Phones and their deplorable customer service? ( Story inside)

SLEEP OF DEATH, SUDDEN DEATH, DOA, BLUE LIGHT OF DEATH, SPONTANEOUS SCREEN CRACKING, These are terms that have become synonymous with Sony products.

Hundreds of Xperia Z, ZR, V, UL and Z Ultra users are suffering from severe problems with their phones and Sony doesn't seem to care at all.

I started my journey with Sony with the Xperia Z. I really liked it and thought it was one of the nicer looking, and better designed Android phones.

I bought it and my wife loved it so much she stole it from me. I went out a few days later and bought an Xperia ZL for myself.

No less than a week later my ZL Went to sleep and would not wake up again. It was just died.

A simple search revealed that hundreds of people were having this problem and even coined it the "Sleep of Death" I took my new ZL to the service center and was relieved when they told me it was covered under warranty. However, it took them 3 entire months to fix the phone. In that time my wife's Z got so hot it was difficult to hold.

At one point my wife took it off the charger and it discharged from 100% to Zero in 3 minutes flat Getting so hot she could not handle the phone. It was dead. DOA completely unusable no response at all.

Again, they said they would cover it under warranty and they took it and we never heard from them again.

Apparently, the phone was lost at the service center and my wife STILL has not been able to retrieve her phone. Unfortunately, for me being a glutton for punishment, In the 3 months I was waiting for my ZL to be replaced and before my wife's Z gave up the ghost I was lured into buying the ZUltra by the support guys.

I bought the phone and I loved it. I love the big screen I love how fast it was it was my favorite phone. I was going to keep this phone forever, even after it was long old and outdated I decided that this was the best phone ever made! it was dead within 3 weeks.

I came home from work one day put the phone on the charger and went to sleep. I awoke a few hours later and the Screen was on which was strange because it usually goes into Clock mode when it is asleep. I figured I had just missed a call.

I checked the phone and it was super hot again. What the hell is it with sony and over heating phones. I didn't pay much attention to it, but I took it off the charger and set it on my desk and went back to sleep. When I woke up several hours later the phone was still there on my desk, untouched by human hands. I picked it up and there was a single, hairline crack across the entire screen.

Again, I went to the Sony Service center in my country and I was told
"Sony does not make hardware that fails" that ABSOLUTELY under NO CIRCUMSTANCES would Sony EVER repair a hardware failure because I most likely dropped the phone and was lying about how it got the crack. :O I couldn't believe my ears! What gumption these people have! I spoke with the manager so upset I was about to beat the man behind the counter to death with this POS ZUltra.

Seeing how upset I was and that I was making a scene the main told me to contact Sony support Center in Dubai. I called and talked to a guy named "Rickert" and he was very kind and as helpful as he could be. I sent him my IMEI number, pictures of the phone etc. This went on for 2 whole months only later to find that not only did he never plan to help me he couldn't.

I was given the runaround for another month and I am right back where I started.

I have not given up, I decided to make it my life's mission to expose Sony for their horrible customer service. I am not the only person who is this frustrated. Hundreds upon hundreds of people have had this problem with Sony's "Support." I think TheVerge should do an article about Sony and possibly get Sony to own up and admit that they are selling defective products.

In closing all I have to say is... Fuck you Sony.
