Why are OEMs showing Android 4.2 devices at CES 2014!?

Different year, same story. Good hardware with old Android or bad hardware with old Android.

I think all this junk is why app startups aren't developing for Android first. You have a lot of low end hardware that has a terrible user experience. Google needs to clamp down on its OEM partners if it ever wants to see its usage numbers go up. At this rate there will be over 750 million Android devices running at least a 2 year old version of Android.
