Advice on vegetarianism.

Is anyone here a vegetarian? I just have this feeling being a vegetarian would be less hassle than looking at everything I eat. Im seriously considering it and would like some feedback.

Im a 180lb male and I run about 2 miles every day. I eat probably 1500 calories a day when I'm watching what I eat. I also can't commit 100% because I'm national guard and some weekends all we have to eat is MRE's and I also like to take people out to nice dinners here and there. But id say 9/10 meals could be vegetarian easily.

What I don't want:

  • I don't want to look at everything I eat and wonder whats in it.
  • I don't want to eat the same things all the time. (Variety)
  • I don't want to spend more $60 a week on food.

Is it possible to be vegetarian or around $60 a week groceries? How does it feel making the switch? Is feeling better a myth? Any advice? Anything I'm overlooking? Thoughts? So, is becoming a vegetarian realistic?

Thanks kindly verge readers.
