Sci-fi fans got their first look at Scarlett Johansson as a seductive and deadly alien five months ago in a teaser for Under The Skin. Today the full-length trailer for Jonathan Glazer's thriller has arrived, though it sticks closely to what we saw in the earlier clip, giving off an eery, surreal, and at times nightmarish vibe. Comparisons to David Lynch remain apt, though the included press quote that labels Glazer as "an heir to Kubrick" may be jumping the gun a tad.
Based on the 2001 novel by Michel Faber, Glazer's film adaptation has garnered strong opinions from critics. It was widely panned after its screening at the Telluride Film Festival, but received praise elsewhere; the film currently shows a healthy 88 percent rating on the Tomatometer. You'll be able to judge Glazer's latest film for yourself when Under The Skin hits theaters in April. It will go into limited release on April 4th before expanding to more theaters soon thereafter.
