UltraBookGamingHybrid...Does it exist?
I'm looking for a new machine to take on the road with me for work and also gaming. Can you help me find what appears to be comparable to finding the Loch Ness monster or Big Foot?
Here are my needs:
1) Small to Medium in Size (12-15 inch screen)
2) Can be used for Gaming BF4 or Crysis
3) Ultrabook size, look and feel
4) Windows (Nice to have)
5) 2 in 1 (Nice to have)
6) Around $1500 or less
7) 4th Generation i7
8) 8GB Ram with 256+ SSD (Nice to have)
I thought the Lenovo Yoga Pro 2 was the perfect device for me, but sadly I've read a few comments from reviews and users that state that the integrated graphics simply aren't the best to run Crysis or Battlefield 4. Graphics are definitely a bonus, but if I could turn down the graphics and still have great gameplay, I'd certainly consider it.
The Samsung Ativ 9 Plus was also looking to be what I was looking for as well (except not a hybrid), but it also proved to have integrated graphics issues as the Lenovo Yoga Pro 2 and was more expensive. Also the Sony VAIO Pro 13 is in this same category.
The Razor Blade 14 inch also seemed like the ideal ultrabook until I looked at the Price. Most are priced around $2000. I'm willing to spend upwards of $1500, not north of $2000. It also isn't a Hybrid which is NICE to have.
The Lenovo IdeaPad U430P was also an option...However, the looks of it turned me off.
I'd consider an Apple laptop, but I've read that running Windows Games such as Crysis on a Air is not the best of both worlds. But I'm not a Mac user, so I could be completely wrong here.
Lastly, the Asus Zenbook UX302LG seemed to possibly meet all my needs except for it wasn't a hybrid. It has a dedicated graphics card, good gaming performance, reasonable price...but sadly I don't think it's for sale in the US?
Any suggestions...I go on my next trip for my job the beginning of March and I'd like to kick back in my motel room and play some BF4 on my new laptop.
