The Lego Movie already has a sequel in the pipeline. Variety reports that Warner Bros. has set the date for the new film for May 26th, 2017. The report is currently sparse on details, and the film has yet to earn a title. However, Jared Stern, one of the writers behind The Internship and Wreck-It Ralph, is attached to help write the script.

The Lego Movie has already earned considerable acclaim in the weeks since its debut, and it's raking in money at the box office, having made more than $151 million in just two weeks. Hopefully Warner Bros. can make lightning strike twice.
