How to fix my windows emailing?

So I read email from 3 devices (desktop and laptop with W8.1 and Lumia 520), depending which one is the closest. What troubles me is that read states do not sync across devices. So I read an email on my phone and delete it or move it. When I open up mail app on my tablet/desktop, fortunately email is in the appropriate folder, but it shows as unread. It's very annoying. How to fix it?

Also, has there been any news on whether or not I could get a notification for email that get sorted in folders by rules I set up?
