Gaming bringing the world closer together? Or deeper into a isolated virtual society?
In today's day and age it is not uncommon for young people to spend hours and hours attached to their computer, gaming consoles, cellphone etc. In the upcoming film "Love Child" it "examines gaming addiction through a harrowing tale". A south Korean couple's baby dies after days of neglect while the pair spent long nights at the PC room. After this case Korea decided the couple was addicted to online gaming, and their sentences were reduced. Throughout the film it also exposes the positive side of gaming and the very quick progression into a world that is united together by a alternate virtual world.
I'd like to strike up a conversation here. THIS IS NOT A ADVERTISMENT. Please comment your thoughts about if you see gaming addiction as a REAL problem? If yes do you feel virtual therapy is a positive way to treat it? etc.
