scared about getting a Retina Macbook Pro vs Air
Hey guys, so I'm still in the market for a laptop and had it narrowed down to the Air and the rMBP. I was sure I was going to get the air for its battery life and weightlessness and money savings. But then I found out I could get the retina macbook pro, which has a battery that lasts for 9 hours (more than enough), only weights half a pound more, has a slightly smaller footprint (due to the slimmer bezels), with an amazing screen for only $60 more because of student pricing. But now I keep seeing all these problems with the retinas, mainly regarding their screens, with ghosting and yellowing. It kind of has me leaning more towards the Air because of this. I know I'll get apple care, but I dont want to have to get the screen on my laptop replaced 3 to 4 times like some people, and still be unhappy with it. This is an expensive machine and to quote apple it should "just work." So I ask you, how bad is the issue with the Retina screens? How many people really suffer from this issue? And has apple done anything to fix this issue?
