Was anyone else intrigued by this device at MWC 2014? I personally use a Galaxy Mega 6.3 and yes, it fits without issue in my 32x30 boot-cut jeans. I used to have a Nexus 4 and an iPad but I realized I don't carry around the iPad enough to make it worth the $500+tax. I use the Mega for a lot of iPad type use cases, like reading my Pocket articles in bed, watching Youtube and reviewing work PDFs quickly. A bigger 16:10 device would be ideal for me.

Specs:

- 7 inch 1920x1200 screen

- 1.6 Ghz Quad-core Huawei Kirin 910 SoC (ARM Cortex-A9) with Mali-450 graphics

- 2GB RAM

- Android 4.2.2 JB

- 239g weight

- 5000 mAH Battery

- 16GB storage w/ microSD expansion

399 EUR pricing in Europe, 299 EUR in Mainland China

The hands-on reviews have been pretty positive so far:

My take:

- Gorgeous, much slimmer and lighter than the Nexus 7 2013 (290g)

- Looks manageable for people who rarely hold up the phone to their head (headset/Bluetooth earpiece)

- Terrible Huawei firmware upgrade record suggests this will never go past 4.3

- Chinese SoC implies locked bootloader and zero XDA support
