Try this one weird trick to speed up Chrome

Sorry, I apologise for the spammy-sounding title. I couldn't resist.

Anyway, I saw this post on Reddit and thought I would pass it along: http://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/21r0a6/how_i_sped_up_chrome_on_my_device/

The "trick" is as follows:

1. Type chrome://flags/ into the url bar.

2. Find the option for "Maximum tiles for interest area"

3. Change to 512

4. Relaunch the browser

Some caveats: It definitely feels like it's faster to me, but as always with these things, it could just be a placebo. Also, some people on the original thread warn that doing this could increase Chrome's RAM footprint and thus have a negative performance impact on other apps. Still, enough people seem to have reported good results that it seemed worthwhile to pass it on - especially given the ever-present complaints about Chrome's performance issues.
