Apple lost their cool? Your thought please...
I've been watching 2000-2010 apple commercials, and they all seem to have a bit of joy, or fun to them, their silhouette campaign for example was really fun, colourful, and appealing. Since then with the cannibalisation happening between iPhone and iPods within apple they have decided not to advertise their iPods. I realise that the market is dropping, but the old ads not only advertised apples iPods, they advertised apple as a company, a fun, lively company.
Compare the iPod ads, to the recent iPhone ads however (I know they're different products but iPhones are the new iPods in a way), the more recent advertisements focus more on how apple products make people feel. Their recent advertisements seem slow, soothing and in a way, more meaningful compared to the simple upbeat iPod commercials. In my opinion apple needs to adjust their advertisement to target the younger-ish generations so the younger persuade the older members in the family to buy said products, and in tern persuading the older generations to buy apples products for themselves.
Even the colourful upbeat iPhone 5c which in my honest opinion was aimed at younger generations, has a slow, monotone-ish sound to it.
I tried to explain my thought as simple as i could, but i realise i might not have done that well. Im not even certain if what I'm trying to say makes any sense whatsoever. I hop you understand what I'm trying to put out there, but if you don't please let me know down below.
