How can Google do it?
Recently, I have read many posts on the tribe criticizing Bing outside the US and how 'terrible' it is. Well that is true:
Even at simple conversions, Bing totally fails...
That is not my issue though, my issue is Bing maps.
Bing maps is pure trash... I simply do not understand... Are they using a different camera?! The aerial view is OUTDATED And what's with businesses and other places? Bing is undoubtedly unreliable in maps:
This is where I live, It's called "Motor City", It has a couple of shops here and there:
(OF COURSE WHEN I SEARCH MOTOR CITY, IT TAKES ME TO U.S. ALTHOUGH I MEAN MOTOR CITY, DUBAI, U.A.E)
Look at this, Google on the top is actually helpful, Google on the top is actually reliable...
Another example: Dubai Marina, one of Dubai's busiest locations:
Appears to be nothing but deserted streets according to Bing maps:
Google, on the other hand, shows you everything. Additionally, as you zoom in, it shows more businesses and even startups...
As for search, I really do not care as long as I can change the region (yet, they HAVE to improve.) However, for Maps, this is a disaster. Dubai has a population of 2.11 million and it is the advanced city in MENA region (One of the most advanced cities internationally, too) and apparently Google is taking care of this 'very little' population... Why?
U.S. citizens, are Bing maps also terrible in the U.S?
