Fans who saw Captain America: The Winter Soldier this weekend needn't wait too long for Cap's third outing. Marvel just announced that the as yet unnamed Captain America 3 will hit theaters on May 6, 2016.

Marvel gives few details on the subject other than that the film will follow the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Release dates are always subject to change, but 2016 already looks like a big year for superhero flicks. Most importantly, the new movie will at this point see release on the exact same day as Batman vs. Superman. Meanwhile, films like The Amazing Spider-Man 3 and X-Men: Apocalypse will also surely make a big splash when they debut later that year.
