Surface Pro 3: Apple-ized in 2 years

If Apple can make a Macbook Air as thin and as light as it is, then it can make an iPad as powerful as a Macbook Air that runs an operating system that is as versatile and powerful as OSX but with the app ecosystem of iOS. OSX is already approaching this mentality, but I think Apple could come out with a device that is the Apple version of the Surface Pro as soon as next year. Apple's strategy is to wait until a market has developed and matured for a product, then launch a device that is refined enough to grab attention. What do you think?
