HTC One mini 2 leak points to refreshed body and specs

As the dust settles on the HTC One M8 launch, it looks as though HTC is ready to reveal a sequel to last year's One mini. Phone leaker Evleaks has released what appears to be a press image of the HTC One mini 2, a smaller version of the company's new flagship Android smartphone.

The new One mini bears more than a passing resemblance to the One M8, with the same color options and basic design, including a switch to onscreen buttons and a wraparound metal body. Being a smaller phone, there are likely to be some sacrifices. One notable change from the M8 is a single camera at the rear, rather than the M8's dual-camera setup. According to an earlier tweet from Evleaks, the One mini 2 will have a 4.5-inch 720p display (up from 4.3 inches last year), a quad-core Snapdragon 400, microSD card expansion, a 13-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

There's no mention of a release date, but given the finalized appearance of the press image, we expect an official announcement will arrive in the coming weeks.
