iPhone is the best smartphone you can buy?

Geez, this is a tech site, right Verge? I would have thought that as your best smartphone you would have selected an actual smartphone. You can't load documents, music, videos, etc onto the thing w/o going through iTunes for goodness' sake.

Of course, I prefer that my wife has one because it's simpler, though the UI often leaves one looking for a "back" or "menu" function. But for actual smartphone use, it does not qualify. It's a touchscreen feature phone.
