If uber/lyft/sidecar/etc started using driverless cars...
Would you prefer taking those rides vs rides with a ride with a human driver?
Presumably the driverless cars will be cheaper than human driver cars. If the robots/AI can do the same job for less, what exactly would be the reason to use humans? Not wanting to put them out of work?
It would be a PR nightmare if rideshare companies like uber fired thousands of drivers and replaced them with robots, but if those robots work well enough, and are cheap enough, I am not sure how you would avoid that outcome. Unless people preferred not to ride them.
