OEMs are pissing me off!!! Where's my high end huge phablet????

Bezels. That's what it comes down to. I said this when the first galaxy note came out. Eveyone else was laughing but i knew i was right. It's not about screen size per se, it's about bezel ratio. I dont want a tablet for couch surfing with a big piece of screenless glass on either size to hold it by, I want a bezeless device with my perfect sweetspot which is about 8 inches. It'll still fit in my jacket pocket.

But why do OEMs continue to put out such shit? The galaxy mega was awesome, a huge, almost 7 inch device with no bezel, but with crappy specs... why??

All of samsungs international galaxy tabs that work as phones, all crappy, crappy specs...

Asus padphone 7, shitty, shitty, specs.

Then a few more are coming to market. The padphone 8 was anounced about an hour ago, with a 720 display.

Galaxy mega 7.0, 1.5gb ram, 8gb rom, snapdragon 400....

It takes so long for these devices to reach the market, then ages more to get one that'll play nice on an american network... But the new ones being announced now aren't even final. We arent at the point yet of mass adoption of over 6 inch "phones" so they feel like they don't have to try...

My sort of question was why they do this, I'm guessing because they know that those of us who like big bezeless phones will buy these phones whether it 720 or 2k, sd400 or 805, because we're suckers.....

I'm really just venting because my dream phone is still not even being considered. I may have to settle for the galaxy tab s 8.4 when it gets released. Problem is, 8.4 with a bezel... is too big, it has a small bezel which makes it a drop too big. The ideal size is under 8 with no bezel or 8 but not 8.4 with a bezel....

discuss... if you feel like it..
