Hey, remember when The Verge was a technology site first?

Yeah, I get it. The site's about more than just bits and electrons and stupid products like BERG's Litter Little Printer. We have to mix it up with editorial pieces on culture, silicon valley inspired progressive politics, and geek chic. Josh and the team have excelled at this, but I don't give a flying fig newton about half the crap highlighted on the top fold anymore.

Why do I care to bitch? Because when The Verge was a tech site first, it was damn good at it. Often, it still is, but I have to wade through this fluff and verve to get to it.

Thank God for Re/Code and Engadget.
