Apple has a clear vision, Google is just hiding behind a mask of altruism
When someone mentions Apple here's what comes to mind...
- iPhone, iPad, iPod, Mac
- Premium materials
- Industry leading hardware
- Beautiful devices
- Jony Ive (unapologetically plastic)
We want to leave the world better than we found it.
When we work on making our devices accessible by the blind, I don’t consider the bloody ROI
The most important thing that we do is to make great products that really get our users excited to want the next one
At Apple, we strive to make world-class products that deliver the best experience possible to our customers
Our north star is always on making the best products. The best phone, the best tablet, the best PC, the best MP3 player
Arguably we make the best PC, we don't make the most. We make the best music player, we wound up making the most. We make the best tablet, we make the most. We make the best phone, we don't make the most phones.Don't even get me started on Steve Jobs...
Apple has had a clear goal ever since Steve Jobs took over and people can see that. In a sense, they're wholly transparent in terms of what motivates them and what their end goal is (aside from profits obviously.)
Then you have Google. Now what the heck is Google trying to do? Buying Boston Dynamics, Google TV (which will be DoA,) their I/O was an embarrassment today as the highlight was probably the protesters bringing light onto a bigger problem than Google's mobile OS itself. "Don't be evil" my ass. What's Google trying to do here? This new Google is a mess. They don't have a clear vision and they're hiding behind this mask of fake altruism. Android One? Internet balloons? Oh you may think it is a great move by Google to help those in need but let's face it, they want Android everywhere and in everything and it isn't because they have a genuine interest in making great products or helping those in need, their number one goal is to get ads everywhere. That's their bottom line.
