Tim Cook made WWDC special.
In 2012, Cook claimed he would "double-down on secrecy". 2013 was a 'so-so' year for apple because everything that was released was leaked or reported about before.
However, WWDC 2014 was the first keynote in a long time when the blogosphere got it wrong. Reading the blogosphere before the keynote, it appeared that a redesigned OS X, smart home automation and a health app called healthbook were the big things that apple were going to release. Errrrr, I think we all agree that there were other, better features than those!
It was the first Keynote when you watched excited again, wondering what Apple would bring out next...... Features like Continuity and Swift just blew our minds away.......thanks to Tim Cook and his quest for the secret apple.
