Matias Duarte should take a cue from Jony Ive

Ive has done in two years what Duarte hasn't been able to do in about four, namely, redesign Apple's applications and operating systems with a consistent and unified theme. Right after Forestall was out and Ive was put in charge, in the next version of IOS we saw a complete redesign of the OS and all it's apps under a common theme. The next year we saw the same for OS X.

In the meantime Duarte, has been talking a lot about design but Google's apps and operating systems feel disjointed and lack that unifying theme/experience that has been Page's alleged goal since he took over as CEO in 2011.
