What's your upgrade cycle?

With the release of Android Wear (and the impending 'iWatch'), the reality of yet another device to continually keep 'up to date' is starting to set in.

Many of us Verge readers and forum posters find it perfectly reasonable to keep our phones on a yearly upgrade cycle. Our tablets at two years. Laptops can sit comfortably at five years. Where will wearables fit into this wallet draining paradigm?

Has device fatigue been a problem for anyone? I'm starting to feel it personally. Having owned every iteration of iPhone, Nexus, and iPad, I'm beginning to see the effects of diminished returns. How much room will the public in general have for new devices and categories that could eventually become obsolete in as little as two years simply due to lack of manufacturer software updates?

So, I'm curious what's your upgrade cycle?
