Sometimes, the Humble Bundle offers deals that seem too good to be true. That's not quite the case with the latest version — it's full of older games that go on sale frequently. But if you're missing parts of the Square Enix catalog, it's a particularly solid bundle. You can pay what you want for six games that include the classic Thief Gold, the first two parts of the Hitman series, and criminally underplayed RPG Anachronox. Pay more than the average, and you get 2012 game Hitman Absolution, mobile game Deus Ex: The Fall, Battlestations: Midway, and other titles. For $15 or more, the bundle includes the director's cut of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, the original Deus Ex, cooperative platformer Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days, and Just Cause 2.
Not every game is brilliant; Kane & Lynch 2, for example, isn't high on many peoples' wish lists. The notoriously frustrating Daikatana, also in the bundle, may have more historical value than enjoyable gameplay. But if you don't already own it, Just Cause 2 is compelling fun, and oft-ignored games like Deus Ex: Invisible War deserve more attention than they get. The bundle ends August 5th, and as usual, buyers can donate some of their payment to two charities: GamesAid and Make-A-Wish.
