Name something you can do on Apple/Google ecosystem you cannot do on a Surface Pro 3?

I can't understand how a Windows 8 ecosystem which includes all of the legacy Windows applications plus those developed for the windows mobile architecture (WinRT) does not have an automatic 10. The other mobile architectures don't come close... You need both an iPad and a Macbook to do a fraction of what a surface Pro can do. Even then the OSX ecosystem isn't as robust as the legacy windows architecture.

The verge editors rate windows 8 as if the legacy windows ecosystem doesn't exist or isn't important when its actually the most important, most accessible, most impactful ecosystem in the world.

The windows ecosystem under windows 8 is the only ecosystem that doesn't force you to choose and spend money on different devices to do what you need. How is that not valuable and innovative?
