More than 11 years after UPN aired the final episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the oldest and strongest of the Summers daughters remains relevant. Hardcore fans could spend hours telling you why, but why should they? Last week's viral clip for the failed MTV spoof “Muffy the Vampire Slayer” did all the work for them. We, the fans, love Buffy. We love the Scoobies. And we especially love Spike.

And yet, Buffy hasn't had it easy. And that's not just because she has died at least twice (her gunshot death is debatable, so go with three if it makes you happy). The Buffy franchise itself has been re-vamped (sorry) to death (not sorry). So, in honor of the real deal that inspired the Muffy spoof, let's take a trip down memory lane, shall we?
