Lots and lots of people are about to install a pretty silly app. Yo, the minimalist messaging app that can send only a single word ("yo") to your friends, is holding a Moto 360 giveaway with Motorola. We're just over a week out from Motorola's September 4th press event where we expect to hear pricing and release details for the Moto 360, but the two have teamed up to give 20 people an early chance at winning the anticipated Android Wear smartwatch. 20 people who live in the United States of America, that is. Sorry world.

All it takes is downloading Yo (Android) and adding "MOTOROLA" to your contacts in the app. From there, just fire off a Yo to Moto and you'll automatically be entered into the giveaway. Just do it fast; the contest is only running through tomorrow, August 28th, at 3:01PM CT. To be honest, the pricing for Motorola's fancy smartwatch isn't much of a mystery anymore. Once again, right inside the giveaway's official rules, Motorola has listed Moto 360's approximate retail value at $249 — the same price Best Buy apparently intends to charge for the device. But getting something for free always beats paying money, so here's your chance.
