Microsoft has been rapidly improving its Xbox app for Windows 10, and the company has started to preview changes with a separate beta version in the store. The latest changes today bring the ability to find Facebook friends with Xbox Live. Once you've linked accounts it simply surfaces Facebook friends in the recommended friends column, and it's a quick way to make sure you have all your friends on Xbox Live.

The Game DVR feature in the Xbox app is usually used to record game clips, or just any Windows apps. It's a great feature for recording screen tutorials, and now Microsoft is making it even better for game clips and tutorials. The new Xbox beta app includes the ability to record your voice in DVR clips to narrate videos or tutorials. It's a welcome addition for everyone who records game clips regularly.

Redeeming codes is also now supported in the Xbox beta app for Windows 10, with the ability to redeem within the Xbox Store part of the app. The redesigned Xbox Store also no longer throws you into the Windows Store to find and download Xbox One or Windows 10 games. You can now discover Games with Gold titles and download them straight to your console within the app. If you're interested in testing the new changes then the Xbox beta app for Windows 10 is available for anyone to try from the Windows Store.
