Vevo's redesign of its iOS app today is aimed at giving users a more personalized video browsing experience. In addition to a sleek, new all-black interface, the update brings two new sections to the app: Favorites and Spotlight.

Do you "love" The Weeknd?

The addition of Favorites is the biggest change to the app, because your "favorites" will determine which videos Vevo serves you. When users first log into the app, they can tap a heart to "love" specific artists, videos, and playlists, which will be stored in Vevo's new Favorites section to revisit later. Based on your favorite videos, Vevo will curate a personalized playlist that users can edit at any time. And when one of your "loved" artists releases a new video, Vevo will notify you.

Spotlight, which replaces Vevo's Discover section, will recommend new and unknown videos, artists, and playlists also based on your Favorites section. Vevo says the update will be coming to Android in the near future.
