Harrison Ford tweet proves that Star Wars spoilers are everywhere you look

Disney and LucasFilm have been careful to avoid spoilers for The Force Awakens — even with the relentless barrage of trailers over the past few months, major plot points remain pretty fuzzy. So you can imagine the surprise when none other than the official Star Wars Twitter account appeared to let loose a spoiler on Friday. (If you're trying to avoid any new details about the film, you may want to turn away now.)

The movie's stars were all fielding questions via the account last night, and when Harrison Ford was asked what his favorite scene in the new film is, he answered honestly: "The sword fight with Rey and Kylo Ren. Fantastic visual storytelling."

Fans, unsurprisingly, seized on it as a major spoiler. Many assumed that this means Rey will wield a lightsaber in the movie — something that hasn't been shown in any trailer. So far, we've only ever seen Rey holding some sort of long staff-like weapon. But Ford's tweet, for the record, says nothing about a lightsaber. And the trailers have already shown us that Rey and Kylo Ren have an encounter. Nevertheless, feel free to enter panic mode if you wish. Only two weeks left until the real spoilers will be flying fast and loose across the web.
