Twitter adds iOS 9 split-screen support, now lets you reply from notifications

It's only day one of iOS 9, and Twitter is already embracing some of the latest features that Apple has introduced in the software. An update for Twitter's app released today introduces support for split-screen multitasking, which is supported on the iPad Air 2 along with newer (and upcoming) models like the iPad mini 4 and iPad Pro. Also new today: if someone mentions you on Twitter, you can reply directly from the notification — without leaving whatever app you're in. This is similar to the way Apple's Messages app works. Just pull down on the notification and the keyboard will pop up, letting you type in a reply, hit send, and get back to what you were doing. The latest version of Twitter for iOS is available from the App Store now.
