The former CEO of Twitter has a new startup. In a note posted on Twitter, Dick Costolo announced that he's starting a new company with Fitify CEO Bryan Oki to build a "software platform that reimagines the path to personal fitness." Costolo says his new software platform will not only offer your standard health measurements, but will help motivate users while working in concert with their existing fitness professionals.
"This platform will go beyond measurement to motivate and drive improvement and make the road to personal transformation fun and social," Costolo wrote. "For wellness professionals, from fitness coaches to physical therapists and nutritionists and more, our platform will be the easiest and most flexible way to extend expertise and guidance by orders of magnitude."

No further details surrounding the name or the backers of Costolo's new startup were shared, but Costolo did announce that he will be joining Index Ventures as a partner, where he will work with portfolio companies and invest in new startups.
Up until today's announcement, Costolo had been a consultant on the HBO show Silicon Valley, which had him working with the writers a "few days a week." With two new jobs, it's unclear if that role will continue.
