Leading up to the November 18th release of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Warner Bros. is currently building hype for the release of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them in November, and thankfully, it's doing it in the best way possible: by bringing all eight original Harry Potter films to IMAX cinemas for the first time. Screenings will begin next Thursday, October 13th, starting with the Sorcerer's Stone and continuing right the way through to Deathly Hallows – Part 2. Availability and screen times will vary from cinema to cinema, but for more information you can check out the announcement from IMAX.

Now, this probably sounds pretty tempting for dedicated Potter fans (or those who missed the films' original stint in cinemas), but it's worth remembering that some of the early entries in the franchise are really bad films. I mean, just completely stuffed full of cringeworthy moments that certainly won't be improved by the move to IMAX-sized screens. For that reason, if you do decided to return to Hogwarts, we'd recommend starting with the later films in the series. io9 reports that theaters have the option of selling tickets for individual movies, or for daily packages, so be sure to check out your local to see what's best for you.
