Steven Soderbergh has signed on to executive produce an upcoming Western series for Netflix, Variety reports, adding another project to his growing list of TV endeavors. The series, titled Godless, is described only as a Western set in the 1880s. Screenwriter Scott Frank, who worked with Soderbergh on the 1998 film Out of Sight, will write, direct, and executive produce the limited series, which will be divided into hourlong installments.

Since "retiring" from film in 2013, Soderbergh has worked on a slew of TV shows for a variety of networks, including The Knick for Cinemax, Amazon's Red Oaks, and a forthcoming adaptation of The Girlfriend Experience for Starz. For Netflix, Godless will mark its second limited series, following the Gilmore Girls reboot that's currently in production. Godless will film in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Variety reports, though Netflix has not disclosed any details on its plot or release date.
