Samsung is working on truly wireless earbuds and a new Gear Fit, according to leaked images published by VentureBeat. "A person testing the items" sent images, initial impressions, and a few stats to the publication, but there's no information on release dates or price.

The earbuds are called the Gear IconX, and they seem to have a lot in common with the Bragi Dash. They're small, wireless earbuds with touchpad controls, fitness tracking, and 4GB of storage for playing music on the go. They're dust and water resistant, and they come with a small carrying chase that will recharge the earbuds when they're not in use, which is all great! But VentureBeat also says they use Bluetooth, which has so far proven to be an imperfect solution for wireless earbuds.

Another company joins the wireless-earbud fray

This space is about to get really crowded — Apple is reportedly working on its own wireless earbuds, the Dash is available at retail outlets, and dozens of others are trying to jump-start the market.

Samsung is also apparently working on a new Gear Fit, which would be the first update to the company's fitness band line since 2014. It has a 1.84-inch Super AMOLED display and GPS, making it easier to track long-distance activities more accurately.
